Making waves at 60: 10km swim for Cancer Research UK At Sensia, we are always inspired by the drive and determination of our people. This September, our very own Marketing and Portfolio Director, Jon Moreau, took on a significant personal challenge—completing the Dart 10km river swim to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Jon, who turned 60 this year, took part in the swim to honor those close to him affected by cancer. "Cancer is such an awful disease that impacts so many of us. I have friends and colleagues who have fought it, recovered, or supported loved ones through it. This was my way of contributing to the cause and supporting the vital work being done to fight this terrible disease," said Jon. Having previously swum the Hellespont—Europe to Asia—when he turned 50, Jon was no stranger to challenging open-water swims. But the Dart 10km was double the distance, testing both his physical endurance and mental fortitude. Completing the swim in just 2 hours 28 minutes and finishing an impressive 95 out of 552 swimmers, Jon’s achievement stands as a testament to his unwavering determination. We're incredibly proud of Jon for taking on this monumental swim and raising money for such an important cause. His JustGiving page remains open for contributions, supporting Cancer Research UK in their continued efforts to fight cancer https://www.justgiving.com/page/jon-moreau-1711912432944 Congratulations, Jon, on this incredible achievement!
