One such client, a large national petroleum company in the Middle East, recently needed our help with their data management. With no less than thirty-nine joint ventures and subsidiary companies operating under their jurisdiction, they were trying to process a huge amount of unstructured data, from multiple sources, with no consolidated or automated reporting or standardized repository data model. To be able to stay one step ahead of ever-changing conditions, they needed to reduce manual work, meet zero non-productive time (NPT) and allow faster decision making. 
 
Having already successfully worked with them on a data hub project, we were only too happy to step in. Our solution was Avocet, a single, integrated interface to connect operations across a broad range of disciplines – giving our client a 360-degree view of oil production operations across the entire country, within a single, shared, and secure environment. They are also now able to combine high frequency measurements with sophisticated simulation models to help prevent costly production interruptions – enabling them to take the right action at the right time. 
 
Our team’s agility, resilience, positive attitude, and outstanding project management skills meant the project was completed in just five months – a major achievement given the estimated timescale was originally eighteen! This has delivered many benefits to our client, including an early return on investment – and has once again opened the doors for Sensia and further collaboration.
