So, when a last-minute medical issue meant a specialist engineer was unable to carry out important intervention work on the Captain FPSO – we knew the right person would step up to the plate. That person was David Blake. Operated by Ithaca Energy, the Captain FPSO had scheduled Sensia to provide expert support during the change out of the turret mooring tensioners. The scope also included modifications to the eight mooring monitoring system PLCs – plus various healthcare and fault-finding tasks across the associated systems and sensors. From intensive self-educating to familiarize himself with the system before embarking, to flawless execution of the planned scope, David delivered.
