Dedication comes in many forms. And for our market access manager, Davis Scott, nothing could be closer to the truth. Of course, he takes impeccable care of his portfolio of Sensia customers, but before his day even starts, he takes on a different form of commitment. As a long-standing member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers International (SPE), Davis devotes many mornings to the Denver Rescue Mission, serving breakfast to the homeless communities there.
And we’re not just talking about a few breakfasts. We’re talking over 500 a week. From 06:30-08:30 am, Davis and a team of 15 volunteers ensure that, for people whose days are often quite dark, they have the best possible start to help them face their challenges. The initiative is such a success Davis tells us they often have more volunteers than available spots.
When Davis moved to Denver in 2018, he joined the SPE – Denver Section as Community Outreach Chair. Since then, he’s never looked back, organizing volunteers to help him at the Mission – and he’s been rustling up a tasty, heart-warming breakfast for thousands ever since.
The SPE in Denver has deep relationships with many regional organizations, including local high and middle schools and the Colorado Special Olympics. Last year alone, the SPE donated 350 volunteer hours.
Davis believes passionately in social sensitivity, and we’re proud he is representing himself, and our industry, in such a positive way. Keep up the incredible work, Davis.
